May I ask how the island still exists?

I ask this in the sense of the amount of explosions so far. Hell, how has it not been found from them all? To count the major ones, we have had : Sub blowing up, the flame, the implosion of the swan, the small explosion at the black rock, the swan hatch being blown open, many of the traps, the plane crash explosion, the engine, Michaels wooden raft, the other lot of dynamite inside the swan by eko, the dynamite being thrown into the smoke monsters hole in the season one finale, etc. Those are the only ones to spring to mind, at the moment, so feel free to add some more. But honestly, how have all those explosions and the smoke they should of produced not been seen? Hell the island should be sinking from the amount of explosion craters on it!

Re: May I ask how the island still exists?

there have been alot of explosions, mostly due to Locke!! just kidding, but he has been known to blow up alot of things lately. If the island can't be seen though, then how would the explosions be seen?

Re: May I ask how the island still exists?

I think that the island can't be seen, not by conventional/ visual methods. However, I think that the magnetic field that caused the hatch implosion should have caused some serious seismic craziness. We know that the two men at the end of season 2 were able to pick up on it, but they were also looking for it. There has to be someone else out there who picked up on it.

Absolutely Molly, we know that the 2 guys definitely picked up on where the island was. I tend to think though that the time span we are looking at here didn't last long though. I think the island was only visible for a few moments. Perhaps not even a minute, so I hope they got a location and the information they wanted to right away. If not they will have to wait until the next hatch implodes!!
