OPEN Mass Grave

I was just looking at the screencaps and wondering WHY did the hostilies leave that big grave open? You'd think they'd throw some dirt on the dead dharma people. There was long grass growing all around the grave so it wasn't freshly dug up. Did the others think they may have to throw some more people down there so why bother covering it up? Just struck me as odd.

Re: OPEN Mass Grave

That was my first impression too.
When the Others heard that Ben was taking Locke to see Jacob, they had a look of shock/fear. Maybe this is not the first time Ben has taken someone to see Jacob and killed them afterward. Maybe this is why Alex provided Locke with a weapon. Maybe it was to protect himself from Ben (who by her own admission, manipulates people into thinking something was their own idea, when it was Ben's plan all along.)

No need to cover it up when there will just be a need to use it again.

Re: OPEN Mass Grave

Yeah, I tthink they knew that they'd be throwing more bodies in there through the years so they left it open.

Re: OPEN Mass Grave

I just think that seeing all the Dharma Initiative scientists in the mass grave was just an amazing, creepy visual.

I thought it was because "nothing stays buried on this island."
