* The Kate-Sawyer "playing house" exchange. It was horribly CHEESY eye-rollingly bad dialog. Ick.

...Michael Giacchino really overused the Sayid theme this episode. i was dissatisfied with the score for this episode, and i never am, cuz i love Giacchino's work.
Same here. I thought the score was distracting (didn't it seem louder than usual, too?) rather than enhancing the scenes. I usually don't care too much about the music but this episode's caught my attention in a bad way.
on the subject of the score, it felt to me like it was a copy/paste job from old episodes. the music really didn't fit the action this episode. to an odd degree. maybe giacchino was sick or something.
Desmond never gave Claire Charlie's Greatest hits list

I think he's busy working on Star Trek and the next Pixar movie.

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
I love Lost but I believe the bloom is off the rose with me lately and I'm more than a little horrified by it. I'm hoping that a big part of the reason for my feeling has to do with the show being off the air for all those months. out of sight, out of mind ? Maybe its just going to take me a little extra time to get back into being Lost.
The twists for twists sake seem not to be impressing me so much anymore. I wasn't even that surprised that it was Ben at the end. I just sat there and muttered, "oh. Its Ben." My jaw stayed put.
As to any particular thing that bothered me about TE was that "play house" scene between Sawyer & Kate near the end. Lame.
And whats more I can't even believe that I'm posting in this thread! I never thought this would ever happen with me.
Hmm, I jumped right to the end of this thread out of sheer curiousity to see what some people disliked, but I have to agree about the music/score. It did seem to be a little bit overbearing in this episode.
I think this one was a great episode in terms of Sayid's story...but i didn't appreciate the sudden extreme distrust between Team Locke and Team Jack...seemed to lack development.
This is the first time that I have not liked an episode of Lost. Sure, I've loved some eps and not been as enthusiastic about others, but this one I really did not like. Sayid taking orders from Ben like that? They're going to have to sell that better than they did to me now. And Ben being the evil mastermind on and off the island? Not liking that either. I liked the info about the time discrepancy, but the rest was blah. And I LOVE Sayid. I just didn't like the way any of the characters were portrayed or acted in this eppie. Hopefully it's just a one-off.
