Technical Question--Blue Screen Madness

I was distracted during the episode because it looked like the island scenes were almost entirely shot on a blue screen. Was it just my television? The beach scenes especially... I'm trying to figure out if this was my TV or if it was actually happening. Did any of you experience this?
