Why Didn't Miles Take the Money?

Aha. We have once again the recurring theme of BIG MONEY that is tainted being presented to one of the characters. But in this case Miles DIDN'T take the money, and in fact he kept its location hidden from Mrs. Gardner (the dead boy's grandmother), so it will stay out of circulation! So perhaps Miles KNOWS that the money is jinxed, and he does not want to make the same mistake as others have regarding handling money that has bad karma associated with it. If this is the case, then Miles seems to be a very wise and astute individual with a good strong sense of morals. Thoughts?

Yah...he took the money but left the dope. He gave the grandmother a "discount" because he had gotten so much money (and viewed the boy's photo with some sympathy).

I missed that. So - it appears then that I was wrong and Miles is just as tangled up in bad money karma as many of the other characters.
