I've been hearing a lot of people saying that Abbadon really creeps them out. People have also said that Myles seems like he could do a lot of harm. So, out of curiosity, who's the scarier one (either now or in the long run): Abbadon or Myles?
Definitely Abaddon. Miles is all mouth but none too clever. Abaddon has that kind of understated but intense menace. He'd kill you as soon as look at you (or get someone else to do it on his behalf.)
Abbadon is scary because he's creepy and mysterious. I don't yet really know who he is, what he wants and what his motives are.
Miles doesn't seem particularly creepy or scary to me. From the little we've seen of him, he doesn't seem to have a very tight control over his anger, and he could certainly do something dangerous if enraged, but he's not particularly scary. A potential threat, yes. But scary, not really.
I'm saying that Abbadon is the scarier of the two. He's got that quiet dignity thing going for him and he's very self-assured in the way he told Naomi that there were NO survivors of 815. Then there's also the scary and quiet way he asked Hurley if they were still alive. The guys is majorly creepy.
I agree with the comment that he has understated menace.
Miles is a potential threat, but I think he's probably pretty easily outwitted and overpowered--there are way more Losties than there are helicopter people. He doesn't really bother me. At least we know his motives, or some of them.
Abbadon is scarier because we still don't really know what his role is in this whole thing, but he's clearly higher up than Miles, and he clearly has his own agenda. We don't know his motives. We don't know how much he knows, or even who, exactly, he is. He just radiates menace and danger and overall creepiness.
Miles is just a hothead. Sure he could eventually be a bit of a threat, but I think he's all talk and no do. Abbadon's calmness makes him way scarier. We dont really know where he stands or what he's up to. With Miles you know that he wants to kill you or break your fingers. Abbadon has a very creepy way about him; you can tell he's not a "good guy" but, much like Ben, you never know what he's truly up to.
Right now, Abaddon is outcreeping Ben. Ben seems kind of helpless and defeated. Miles is really irritating and seems like the type of character that will get killed off as soon as the writers get good use of his ghost whispering abilities. I'm interested to see what Miles discovers but Abaddon is the creepiest/scariest character at the moment.
