Did Jack's Father Perfrom The Kidney Transplant?

I can't remember where Locke lives but is it possible that Jack father's performed the operation? We never did see the operation or doctor so it's possible.

That would be nice, but I doubt it. Isn't Jack's dad a spinal surgeon (like him?). I think he'd only get called in on another type of surgery if it were an emergency, like in ATBCHDI (I hate writing that acronym).

When Locke worked for the box company (and I doubt he moved), he lived in Tustin, California. I'm pretty sure Jack lived in L.A.. So, concievable, I guess, but not very likely.

They didn't show how Locke ended up in the chair so was there an accident and then Jack's father operated on his spine and left him permanently damaged?

I believe the donator has a much harder time of it then the receipient. But I think the receipient would have to stay in hospital incase their body rejects the organ. I'm not a doctor though.

Nope and that was a little "off" too because they wake you up immediately in recovery and start asking you questions to make sure you aren't brain damaged and that you can be awakened. His father probably signed out "against medical advice" and went home to be cared for there so Locke couldn't get to him.

Re: Did Jack's Father Perfrom The Kidney Transplant?

Locke's father is obviously loaded.
He could certainly afford all the home medical help he would need (he had a dialysis machine
in his living room, for cryin' out loud!). So he prolly checked right out from the recovery room, and
had a nice ambulance ride home.

Jack and his Dad are Neurosurgeons so they would not be any where near a kidney transplant.
