Where the show is headed

I believe the rest of the show will be set in the present with them trying to get back to the island and *dun dun dun* Sun being the problem in getting back.

Thoughts?

Re: Where the show is headed

I think it will be set in the present as well. We will have the O6 returning to the island 3-4 years in the future with flashbacks of how they made it back and we will have the left behinders(?lol) with flashbacks of the last 3 years on the island.

I think Sun and Kate/Aaron are going to be the only 2 that are going to cause major problems on getting back.

"Bad things" will happen on the island, probably to the lefties, including Faraday's boat people.

Maybe they will start to age. Every good sci-fi serie needs one episode where people age too fast.

Wow.. that three years just really hit me. But will it be three years for the people on the island as well? Cause that's a very, very long time.

I'm wondering if it wont be, since when Ben ends up in Iraq (in SOTTC) it seems like he must have traveled there immediately after turning the "frozen donkey wheel"- so he goes into the future.

I'm wondering why any thing bad will happen on the island. Not many losties left, the population of the Others is down after last season's finale - seems like plenty of space and resources for those remaining. And Locke seems to be in place to unify both groups.

Am I wrong in saying that they are technically still not in the present? The funeral was 07, as far as I know. By the time the show starts again, the will be close to 2 years behind us.
It's all very confusing.

Re: Where the show is headed

The final flash forward at the funeral is in 2008. The Oceanic Six were rescued in early 2005 and Kate said it had been three years since they left the island.

Since Ben wound up 10 months in the future after pushing the wheel I think it's likely the island jumped forward 10 months too.

Jack Bauer is the reason Waldo is hiding.

A show about people trying to get off an island for half of the series and the other half about them trying to get back to it. Sounds awesome, right?

I think the Island was sent back in time and we will see Dharma hit the scene. The Losties left on the Island will have the choice to join Alpert/Locke or be a part of Dharma.

Darlton said that season 5 will be about Dharma, so it makes sense that for that to happen, the Island would move backwards. Maybe they'll bring Rousseau back!

We could finally learn who Adam and Eve are then.
