How did rash guy keep his glasses on during an airplane crash?* ???

I suppose they could have been in his pocket but to survive intact? I don't think they would be in his luggage since he seems to need them to see.* A spare pair in his bags and he was lucky enough to find his bags?

See what I mean? Luck or something more? Hmmmm.

Maybe he was wearing contacts on the plane, got his carry-on bag out of the overhead compartment, only had saline/cleaning solution for a week, and now has to wear his glasses...

Or, maybe he's Alex, and the island gave him the glasses, because that was what he needed.
