Ok so I am confused, how did Juliet know what to do?

In a previous episode, Ben lost track of his directions that was recorded to send to Juliet. My assumption was that the way Locke got it was that he stole it. If that is true then that means Juliet never heard the tape. How would she know when they were coming and that her directions were to mark the tents?

I can go with the idea that she knew the date due to the last meeting we saw with Ben, he had said that they will meet again in a week. That does not explain how she knew what she was to do without hearing the tape.

Now you may say that she found out when Sawyer, Charlie, Desmond, etc played the tape in the camp, but I don't buy that. My reasoning is becuase Jack already went to Rousseau to gather dynamite before they heard it.

This isn't a big problem or a big deal by any means, was it just an oversight?

Re: Ok so I am confused, how did Juliet know what to do?

This is how I see the scenes play out.

1. Juliet leaves Sun outside the station to go back inside to leave her last message for Ben.

2. Someone from Ben's camp goes to get the tape and brings it to Ben.

3. Locke hears the tape and steals it after reading Sawyer's file. So he knows about the plan and wants the Losties to hear it. He also knows that he will give the tape to Sawyer who will play it for the Losties at the beach.

4. Locke gives the tape to Sawyer after Sawyer kills Locke's dad.

5. Sawyer takes the tape back to the beach and plays it for everyone.

6. Jack knew about Ben's plan from Juliet. Remember that Jack and Juliet were spending a lot of time together. This is what he could not tell Kate when Kate told him about Noemi.

Also, Ben could have talked to Juliet about the whole plan before the tape exchanges took place.

That's how I see those scenes play out.

The key is that Juliet told Jack about Ben's plan when they were getting chummy with each other.

Corrections and comments are welcome.

None of those sequences shows how Juliet could have known about marking the tents. If Juliet KNEW about the whole plan before the tapes, whats the point of him responding?

I know how Jack found out about what Juliet knew, but how did Juliet find out about something that was never delivered to her?
