It was a comedy from the late 70's/early 80's...that parodied soap operas.
It's HILARIOUS...and if anyone hasn't seen it...I would absolutely recommend checking it out . A very young Billy Crystal has one of the starring roles. He played a gay character, which was very unique for the time. It's available on DVD...and I've just finished watching the third season.
Yupe l use to watch it although its been so long l forget some of the characters. I remember the brother had a puppet. It was funny. I still remember the opening music.
Yes! I've seen every episode of Soap. Ted Wass is great! I saw them when they were first on (when I was allowed to saty up late enough, usually at Grandma's house) and then caught every one when Comedy Central reran them a few years ago. I didn't know it was DVD. I may have to get it!
Y'know what I'd like to see, is reruns of Benson. I missed Robert Guillome when he left the show and never got to watch it much.

Has anyone else watched the show?
I used to watch it religiously!! I loved it!
If you rented Soap and loved it, you should see if you can find an old series called "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman". It had the same kind of dry wit and sense of the ridiculous.
