I think it's a great story with a ton of possibilities...but some of the main cast is being ignored in favor of recurring characters. Why do they keep introducing new people when we still don't know who the others are?

Did anyone else get the feeling that Ethan wasn't gonna go get Jack when Charlie told him to? I just had a feeling it was all show for Charlie's benefit. Also why do you think Ethan wants the baby? If that is what he wants. And if its not the baby then what do you all think he wants with the two of them?

my theory:
ethan is alex, the french lady's missing kid, who left her becuase he contracted the disease that makes you crazy, that the rest of their crew caught that the french lady had to kill them because. following so far? anyway, ethan is crazy, and wants the baby because it has some sort of attraction to evil, which is why the psycic told her she needed to keep goodness in its life. he really did try to attack her because he has access to needles from his mom.... um... more to come!
hahaha kingpause im watching that as well.......as for ethan i knew it too! He gave claire such a creepy glare at the end tho...<shudder> and did you all hear what he said in next weeks ep to jack after jack falls??? Poor claire and charlie
When I heard he was from Ontario, I put two and two together. French. Danielle. Alex!!! And then when Charlie told him to go get Jack I was literally screaming at the tv like 'NOOOOOOO! He's bad!!!!!'

Yes, they are French-Canadian. Otherwise, and these are my assumptions, Danielle wouldn't know English. Plus, she told Sayid the freighter came from Quebec.

A lot of people, like 'andwhosjohn' up here, have been musing that Ethan is Alex. I sure hope things aren't that simple for him, because that seems like the immediate connection they want us to make.
