Well, I think that was supposed to have been overcome by the plotpoint in the second or third movie (can't remember which) that Connor was tricked, and that he was not actually the last immortal left alive, and thus did not win the Prize. (Surely, he would have known at the time that his cousin, Duncan, was still alive and kicking.

) I scoff at the idea of more immortals coming to earth from somewhere in outerspace as an explanation though. Also, the third movie was supposed to be a prequel to the second, and I tend to disregard the second movie altogether.

Hopefully, the soon to be released "Highlander: The Source" will give a more palatable explanation for some of the inconsistencies, but I also think the Highlander fandom is a bit more forgiving of this kind of thing than certain other fandoms.

Highlander fans seem to look almost lovingly on the inconsistencies.
I have high hopes for the new release. It sounds like it's going to be a great story. Highlander: Endgame, while it compared favorably with the second and third of the films imo, was kind of choppy in places. The overall story was good, but I think it suffered from poor editing.
Oh, and I just found out that Highlander: The Source is scheduled to be released in February. Yay!
I also found a trailer.
As for who we are supposed to be rooting for, umm...I think the only choice left is Duncan. You never can tell though.

This makes me happy because I like Duncan more, probably because the series was soooo much better than the movies.
As for the anime feature,
If that's the case, I may be up for the anime feature also.
